The John Henry Center in Minneapolis Kansas was fully decorated and ready for the full house that attended the 2009 Bannquet.  A special edition Mudslinger was at each table place with special messages from IMCA Vice President of Operations Brett Root and the Robins family.  Drivers from all over central Kansas came to recognize the top 10 finishers in their respective class, as well as the Rookie of the Year and Sportsman of the Year in each class.

Ariel Hoppe kicked off the evening with a stirring rendition of the National Anthem and Amazing Grace.  Mayor Virginia Hoover spoke a few words, thanking the drivers and teams for coming to race at Minneapolis, and gave the blessing for the meal.  After the meal, Doug Beauchamp and Buddy Hess, Banquet MCs, gave the awards for each class.

Many prizes were given away thanks to the generosity of area sponsors.  Long MacArthur Ford held a drawing for a tailgate grill, won by Shaylon Holloway.  Other prizes ranged from tools and apparel to gift certificates.

There were two announcements for 2010 sponsors.  Terry Smith Plumbing is sponsoring the Mod Lite Series for the second straight year, and O'Reilly's Auto will be sponsoring Victory Lane.

Minneapolis Raceway would like to thank all of our sponsors for supporting us in 2009.

Although we've wrapped up the 2009 season, there's no slowing down for us.  Come back to the website for updates about the track, drivers, and sponsors for 2010.  Thanks for coming to the races and we will see you at the track in the spring!
